Peter Randazzo: “I particularly remember Encounter which I choreographed in 1969 (I’m guessing here). Jim Plaxton did a futuristic set and the costumes were also futuristic. I wore a huge cape and so on. The subject was the dynamic between 3 different people – very abstract, innuendo... Amelia was phenomenal.”

Encounter was… very challenging. We could never finish the whole piece in rehearsal because it was so strenuous. We were going to perform it, but we’d rehearse it in pieces because none of us could get through it. And then when performance came, I mean, we just flew.”
